about

Turquoise was originally released in 2011 .

Not long after the death of my father, I made a sort of pilgrimage to Greece, a favourite place of his. He had talked a lot about the Aegean and how beautiful it was, with the colours changing different shades of turquoise depending on the light and time of day. I went to see for myself and the images of the light reflecting on the water stayed with me. I wrote Turquoise on a very grey rainy day here in England but with the images in my mind. The past few months I have been creating Aegean sea pictures that show how light is reflected on the water at different times of the day. The resulting pictures I set to the music and strangely they also look like the vivid blue coloured tiles that you can get in Greece.

SOUNDICIAN has its own style of electronic music - A mix of classical electronic music with a touch of ambient, minimalist and experimental elements. Since the first release in 2000, albums have always been eclectic and no two releases are the same but there is a definite Soundician sound.
