about

Wise Trees is a sonic interpretation of the poem “The Winter Trees” by William Carlos Williams (1883 -1963)

All the complicated details
of the attiring and
the disattiring are completed!
A liquid moon
moves gently among
the long branches.
Thus having prepared their buds
against a sure winter
the wise trees
stand sleeping in the cold.

I have taken five key words from the poem and created tracks to represent them and since the poem is short, so is the CD. This is deliberate, as it becomes a sonic poem in itself.

Dedicated to my Mother, who instilled in me a love of nature (and catkins) and to my Daughter, who introduced me to the poetry of William Carlos Williams, for which I am thankful.

SOUNDICIAN has its own style of electronic music - A mix of classical electronic music with a touch of ambient, minimalist and experimental elements. Since the first release in 2000, albums have always been eclectic and no two releases are the same but there is a definite Soundician sound.
