(2004)

The original idea for Seven Sisters didn't come from the Greek myths but from a chance visit to a nearby Neolithic burial site called Copt Hill - also locally referred to as the Seven Sisters. After visiting the site I wrote the first track - Seven Sisters. After composing the opening track I began to read more about the Seven Sisters in Greek mythology and about the star cluster the Pleiades.

In Greek Mythology there are several stories about how the Seven Sisters became stars. In one such myth the hunter Orion began to pursue all of the Pleiades. To save them from Orion, Zeus transformed them first into doves and then into stars to comfort their father. The constellation of Orion is said to still pursue them across the night sky.

SOUNDICIAN has its own style of electronic music - A mix of classical electronic music with a touch of ambient, minimalist and experimental elements. Since the first release in 2000, albums have always been eclectic and no two releases are the same but there is a definite Soundician sound.
